I don’t really want to repeat all of the same arguments that everybody had back in 2007. Nothing has changed since then.
But let me ask you this: if Spider-Man is about responsibility, then how can he continue to be Spider-Man if he has a child? Surely his greatest responsibility is to that child.
Not speaking for the anon, but I don’t buy this. It’s an argument that cops and firefighters and military personnel shouldn’t have children.
How can he continue to be Spider-Man? How can he not? If Spider-Man doesn’t save the world from dictators or destruction, then his child grows up a slave or doesn’t grow up at all.
Let me ask you this: if Peter doesn’t suit up as Spider-Man to stop the Shocker’s crime spree and his daughter ends up killed while he’s robbing a bank, isn’t that a violation of the very concept of the character?
